MIC's Beach Party

Our pool under the sun is the ocean, and all we have to do is have fun. So, come out of your homes and join us for an all-Indian beach party at Aspendale Beach on 19th February 2023. There will be kho-kho, Sitolia (Pittho), and other classic Indian games we grew up with. This would be an excellent opportunity to feel nostalgic and pass on these classics to the next generation. Bring food and drinks to share.

The tentative plan is as follows:

• 10:30 am to 12:30 am: Meet and greet, snacks and free play
• 12:30 pm to 01:00 pm: Lunch and chit chat
• 01:00 pm to 02:00 pm: Indian Games with prizes to win

If you intend to attend, please RSVP so that the organizers can better plan the event. You will also be added to a dedicated Whatsapp group for real-time updates.

Please bring:

• Beach gear for children and family
• Hats, sunscreen and any beach shelters you may have
• Gold coins ($1/ $2) to play games and win prizes
• Games that you want to play with others
• Bring your own food, Cutlery (plates bowls etc) and drinks to share

MIC team will organise the following:

• A central spot for everyone to gather
• Indian games that we can play on the beach
• Prizes for winners, and
• Treats for the kids

For your safety and everyone's enjoyment, please follow the rules below:

• Always swim between the red and yellow flags on patrolled beaches
• Look for signs at the entrance to the beach for local information
• Never swim alone; always swim with someone else
• Never swim under the influence of alcohol or after a big meal
